Midgey, mind out of the gutter.
I went to get my gray covered today and then cut. When it came time for the cut, my girl asked how much? I said about this much.. and showed her. Her eyes popped out for a second.
The week after the honeymoon, I got her to cut about 2 inches off. Today, she cut 3 more. So about 5 inches in a month and a half. And it STILL comes right below my shoulders, but not by much.
Granted, my hair grows freakishly fast so it probably grew about an inch since my last cut. Feels better though. Looks bouncy.
Anyone else chopping off hair lately or doing something different that they did NOT want to try before the wedding?

Re: 5 Inches
I have gray hair already too, lol.
I got about 2 inches off of my hair right after the honeymoon, and it felt better instantly. However, it is so damn hot here, that I would like to get about 3 more chopped off. But H likes it longer. I had short hair when we met (even though I would never go that short again) and he likes it longer.
I just get so hot esp outside with the kids on the playground at school that I feel like getting it cut again soon would be wise and then let it grow out over the fall/winter. Plus my hair has a lot of natural wave/curl and when I wear it longer it just gets weighted down and then it takes longer to get it to be the way I want it.
I am going to seriously consider getting some more chopped after reading your thread.

I'm thinking about getting a pixie cut. I've had short hair, but never something that short.
Pics Knibby?
I cut my hair after the wedding, probably an inch or two past my shoulders. I HATE it . And my hair takes forever to grow. Blah!
i'm thinking of dying it this weekend, not a huge change but something a little different

I'm jealous of bouncy hair
I NEED a cut ridiculously bad. It's on the list... next week, maybe? But not too much. I think I'm actually going to keep it long for a bit. I haven't had hair below my shoulders in years. It probably won't last long.

I have an appointment with my hairdresser on Saturday, and I think I'm changing something major, since I've never actually had a different hair style. It's always been blonde, and the shortest I've ever had it is about 2-3 inches below my shoulders.
I'm seriously considering going the brunette route...
I hope I don't chicken out.
i got 4-5 inches cut yesterday, finally, after three+years of long hair. i was DYING to get it cut since we got engaged.
so.much.happier. plus it was FREE people! i go to ULTA and after all of that wedding $$ spent at the salon i had a crap ton of "points"- enough for a free cut and style and two bottles of OPI. WOOP!
i'm thinking about going shorter in nov with an angled bob or something. we'll see.

i haven't had a real cut since DH and i started dating... so about 3 1/2 yrs. before that i made a bet with my friend that i wouldn't cut my already long hair for as long as we worked together- it was supposed to only be 3 maybe 4 months, but ended up being a year!
when it came time to cut it, i chopped off over 14 inches! the girl seriously asked me multiple times if that was what i wanted. lol. too bad i didn't even think about donating it.
im thinking about donating it this time around, but DH says he loves my long hair. i hate it because it takes too long to style it. haha in the past year, ive worn it down maybe once or twice. i feel a good cut coming on....
Planning Bio - Woefully out of date
Sorry you were disappointed.
I've heard they're quite expensive, but at least you are frizz-free for the steamy summer months, right? I would kill for that right about now. The humidity here is ridiculous. I'm sure your hair looks absolutely beautiful though!
P.S. If you ever do find a way to successfully get curly hair to be straight and smooth and shiny and healthy looking, let me know fo' sho'. I'd be all over that.
=P hehehe
what a bad topic for me!
<sigh>
Havent cut it at all! Ughhhhhhhhhh I need a cut so bad! I need some shape, since i grew out almost everything for the wedding!
I wanna go really short. My hair is about 3 inches from the crack of my coolie LOL Also needed color like crazyy...
So since I am currently not talking to my hairdresser, my BFF (who works in a salon), dyed my hair last week. I wanted to go alot lighter then the color I had for the wedding (which is close to my natural color) however it turned out darker with some red! LOL and already my greys are showing again! LOL
Damn u box dye!!
SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
U go knibs!!!
My Planning Bio
I chopped mine off to shorter than my shoulders the Tuesday after the wedding. I love it!!
