30DS - Day 8 (or 7)

OK ladies, how ya doin? Is everyone doing it everyday? Level 1? Anyone start on Level 2? Updates! Keep motivated!! Yes

Re: 30DS - Day 8 (or 7)

  • I haven't done it since Wednesday because of my trip, but I've done a lot of cardio while I was away. I probably shouldn't double up on the 30 DS, but I think I'm going to do one session when I get up and another an hour or so before I go to bed for a couple of days.

  • I'm on Day 8. I don't LIKE doing it, per say, but since it's only 20 minutes, I can push myself to do it pretty easily. I moved up to level 2 yesterday and boy is it kicking my butt! I was finally NOT sore, and now I am again, but new muscles this time. :) And every time Jillian Michaels says, "....to get THIS body." I say to myself, "Yeah right, Jill. I don't know if I could EVER have THAT body!" hahaha I have decided if I see some results, I'd like to try the p90x workouts when I'm done with 30DS...hmmm.... I want ABS! And toned all around. That's my goals.

  • Girl, I'm wanting to get my body toned as well. My butt's started its southern descent, my calves look more like cows, and I'd love to have abs once in my lifetime. Hopefully this time next week, I'll be on level 2.

I hear ya!! I'm working on the butt-lift too! haha And yeah, I've never had abs, so I'd like to see what they look like on me. :)

Hmm.... I'm thinking everyone else skipped out on the 30DS? So much for motivating each other and keeping up with it for the month of August! Geez.

  • Oh I'm still doing it! I'm only on day 4 though. I couldn't start when I wanted to because a bunch of stuff came up and we were barely home. I'm enjoying it so far.

Did anyone take their measurements before they started? I did and I'd be interested to see if we have results or not.

My only real complaint is that it's so hard on my knees so far. All the jumping really really starts to hurt me about half way through so I've been doing the modified version of everything involving knees

I forgot to do measurements. :( I'm doing the "jeans" test instead. Trying to fit more comfortably in my jeans, and maybe (hopefully!) get into the size smaller!

As far as your knees, I usually have a LOT of trouble with mine. But I have really been listening well to the placement of the exercises (like not bending your knee over your toes in lunges), and I exercise on carpet to have more cushion. And surprisingly, I haven't had any trouble! I think between better positioning and more knee warming up, it's really worked! I hope it eases up for you or you can figure out a way to make it less impact on your knees. Originally I was going to do all the jumping/high-impact on my mini tramp to ease the strain on my knees, but I haven't had to! Good luck!

  • im still here! i've missed a couple days- i've been so busy/stressed/holy crap my life is hectic. lol.

im getting back on track, both with work and life, so hopefully structure will stick around. :)

  • I'm still doing it. But big freaking problem coming up. We're doing a 3-4 day camping trip in two days! zomg.

I guess that in better news, we'll have to hike a mile daily for the lake and swimming so that's lots of cardio, right? Two miles a day and hours of swimming? >.<

I'm doing 10 days of Level 1, 10 days of Level 2, and 10 days of Level 3. Next time through, I'll likely substitute one day a week for biking or do only Level 2 and 3, and cut out Level 1 altogether. We shall see!

I also haven't measured myself. Perhaps I should so I can feel good about shedding some chub. :)

  • I'll admit that I fell off the wagon towards the end of last week and was out of town all weekend and then I got sick.  But I'm getting back on tonight and working in some cardio with it to make up for lost time.
