Am I strange?
Last week I was talking to my CW's and I told them I was looking forward to going on the cruise with my mom in January. One asked if G was going with me and I told her no and you would have thought I was telling them I was getting a divorce or something. She thinks it is strange that I go places without G, can go all work day without talking to him and I actually do things without him.
She was like I guess my DH and I are attached to the hip (she doesn't go anywhere without him, can't go on a work trip without him and I think he calls her to ask permission to go to the bathroom--not really but they call each other it seems like every 5 minutes).
If you want to spend all your tme with your DH that is fine but I felt like I was strange because I go places without DH and he goes places without me. I told her I enjoyed some me time and you would have thought I had two heads.
Does this make me strange? I guess I just don't get it I think sometimes you need to have you time.

I am the same way, I don't talk to DH at all during the day unless I really need him for something. Heck, I didnt even call him last week until after I fell and was out of the ER!

A lot of ppl told me I was crazy for allowing John to go to KC this past weekend b/c the due date is so close, but I loved being home alone Saturday night. I layed on the couch and vegged all day, which I couldn't have done if he was home!

I love when Todd has drill for the National Guard now (1 weekend/month). Of course I love him, but they're like my little vacations at home.

one of my CWs is CONSTANTLY on the phone with her hubby...whereas if I call DH during the day and ask "Whatcha doin...." he'll be like "working, why?" hah. he's not a chatter during the work day
however, dh would be really sad if i went on a trip without him (wellllll, he wasnt upset about my trip to atlanta for our g2g
)... a lot of wives here go on trips to the philippines and bali and japan w/o their hubbies (to go shopping).... i would feel awful going on those types of trips without him b/c these are first experiences for both of us (even though most other husbands could care less about going to these places....dh and i just both really love to travel!!)
