Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

is there another series out like the Sookie books? I saw you mention The Harper Connelly series.... what are they about?

Are you just looking for other vampire-ish series?
I read the first Harper Connelly (Grave Sight) this weekend, and it was pretty good. The girl in that one gets a "vibe" from dead bodies and can sense their last few moments of life. She's hired to find missing and presumed dead persons, and she and her brother end up mixed up in a very weird small town that apparently has something big to hide.
Harper is the only one with any supernatural qualities, though; everybody else is a regular human. It was pretty good. I might give the next one a try.
not so much another vampire series, but the author came up with a pretty awesome story line for the Sookie books, so I was wondering what the heck these were about!
I should probably read Sookie first... I've just been watching True Blood
