Wine question

I have a bottle of inexpensive red wine that has been sitting in our kitchen cabinet since sometime in May/June. Problem is, my kitchen can get ridiculously hot. The weather has been mild lately, but when it's hot here, it will be like 92 degrees in my kitchen. Would you drink it, or just throw it out?

Don't worry, I do have another bottle that was stored in the basement, so if I have to throw this one out, I won't be stranded without wine.

Re: Wine question

  • I say you open the bottle from the basement first.  Drink that.  And then, when you are finished, drink the bottle from the kitchen.  It will taste just fine.  :)

  • Vinny is so wise.  You start high quality and after enough glasses, even mouthwash tastes delightful.

  • That's exactly how you end up with a bunch of crappy wine when you go winery hopping.

If it still sucks, make it into sangria or something.  Do not waste.

  • Mmm. Sangria. You guys are so wise.
