So I let my co-worker use my digital camera for a trip she was taking. Well she tried to up load her pics with her usb cable using my camera and now my usb cable doesn't fit. DH thinks her cable didn't fit correctly and messed the connection up. It's just a point and shoot camera, but I really don't want to have to take my card in everytime I want to have pictures and I really don't want to buy a new camera. Any rec's for camera repair places? Thanks.

A miracle from the very beginning!
Re: Camera Repair
Does your computer have a card reader? I just skip the USB cable and put my card into our laptop to download pictures. Otherwise, you could buy a card reader for pretty cheap.

Yes - get a card reader, they usually have good prices on Amazon. It's better for your camera - it uses less camera battery power. Then, if you ever replace your camera, you can use the same card reader. The USB cables that come with camera are usually proprietary and only work with one particular brand.
Otherwise, if you need a replacement USB cable to connect to your camera, you can buy a replacement one. Search on ebay, you can usually get them for super cheap (I got one for my old camera for about $6 including shipping). Just search for your camera name and "usb".
