visiting cleveland this weekend?
Hi! I am from cincy and will be visiting cleveland this weekend for a saturday afternoon baby shower. Does anyone have any fun semi low-key suggestions for things to do Saturday night? We were thinking of something like a wine tasting (are there any vineyards in the area) or maybe a fun chuch festival?
We're also taking suggestions for good semi inexpensive hotels-- the shower is in strongsville but we can really stay anywhere.
Thank you!!!

Re: visiting cleveland this weekend?
There are a TON of vineyards but they are about an hour east of Cleveland in Geneva. Most of the wineries are open in the evening and a few have special events or live music (Ferrante, Laurello, Debonne, Grand River). When we stay up there, we stay at the Lodge at Geneva State Park. It can get pretty pricey in the summer months though. I don't know if you camp at all, but there are a ton of campsites up there and we've done that in the summer to save $$.
This weekend is the Feast of the Assumption in Little Italy. Saturday night it will be pretty crowded... but if you went earlier (like 5 - 6pm) it wouldn't be as crazy. All the restaurants have food stations outside, tents, etc. Hotels near there would be the Intercontinental or the Glidden House. This is close to University Circle (art museum, natural history museum, botanical gardens).
Another option would be to find a hotel downtown and hit up E. 4th street. There are a lot of great restaurants and bars down there. For that I would probably get a hotel on hotwire or hotels.com.
