I need some major help. The dress code for my aunts memorial is - funeral type clothing for the memorial service itself which is at 5:00 on a Saturday.
They are then having a full on cocktail/reception/dancing party from 6-? and I was advised that basically men should be in suits and womens hould be dressed as they would an evening wedding.
So what the heck am I going to wear? It's in Arlington/Alexandria/DC. I hate the heat and sweat like a pig so I want to be as cool as possible. I don't have much summer black if any.
What would you wear?
Re: Dress me help..
Very true, esp those damn old navy ones. It cracks me up when I see pp dressed really nice then show up w/ those to work. seriously.
Agreed!! I saw a group of people apparently on a work lunch / conference and there were two women dressed up in a pants suit type of outfit with freaking FLIP FLOPS. I tried to get a picture of it, but Brian told me it was too rude.

LOL, I do admit to wearing flip flops to work..well just INTO the office. I change once I get in. Otherwise i would probably kill myself hiking up our parking lot and then the stairs.
But don't worry, I won't be wearing flip flops. I have a really fabulous pair of dress black heels.
