Rec fo venue

Hi Ladies, I haven't been on here in quite a while. Glad to see all the new babies and new nesties!

We are planning my grandmother's 90th birthday in Nov. and I need some recommendations for a venue, caterer, and bakery. We are planning on about 100 people. We are looking in the IE or OC. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

  • What kind of setting are you looking for? Indoor, outdoor, formal, garden, etc...? I recommend Ontario Bakery for good cheap cake.
  • It will be in Nov, so probably an indoor venue.

    Thanks Ann, congrats!

    Hi Robyn!!! Ivy is beautiful!!!

  • There is an awesome restaurant right off the 10 with a beautiful view overlooking the valley. It is called the Coco Palm restaurant. They were pretty reasonable when we were looking into having our reception there- but that was 5 years ago.  The food is awesome and the venue is really nice.

Or there is Pomona Valley Mining Company right next door.  They have a nice venue for a large # of people too.

Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time. Midnight Baking Adventures Blog
  • I was going to recommend the French Estate in Orange but its an outdoor venue. We have some friends getting married there in a few weeks and they let you bring your own caterer and from what I've heard they are pretty reasonably priced.

There's also the CSUF Alumni House. I've actually heard a lot of good things about the CSUF Alumni House and I think you get a discount on the rental rate if you are a CSUF Alumn.

Theres a lot of outdoor spaces I can think of since thats the type of venue we were looking at for our wedding but if I think about it some more I might think of some others.

  • you can also try Etiwanda Gardens. It is indoors but they are well priced and very nice!
