For those of us who loved Joey Lawrence's music...

I just read on Perez Hilton that he's making more music!!

 Just what the world needs!

Joey Lawrence is releasing a new album and he wants to tell you all about it!

He says:

"It's called "Stuck with Me." It reminds of me of the theme of Friends. And I'm making a brand new record that will drop early next year. It is right there with the first Justin Timberlake CD.

"I haven't done an album since 1997, but it sold six million copies and fans have always asked me for more. And I would not have waited this long and gone down this path again if I didn't think we had something."

The Friends theme? Seriously?!

Yeah, we bet people want this as much as they want a hole in the head new music from Jennifer Love Desperate!

Not gonna lie...I probably wouldn't buy it, but I'm intrigued to hear what he sounds like now!

Re: For those of us who loved Joey Lawrence's music...

  • He did music?  People actually listened to it?  What?
    Matt loves Munkii!!!
  • Yeah, he did back in the early/mid 90's.  Full disclaimer: I was in elementary school and didn't know any better!  Go on YouTube, he's got some music videos, the most popular was "Nothin' My Love Can't Fix"
  • He had an amazing single back then... "Nothin' My Love Can't Fix."  It was fabulous.  He also has a show now with Melissa Joan Heart, I think it's coming out this fall.  He's been a busy guy!  I'll totally download his new album. :)

  • Okay, this is super embarrassing to admit, but I LOVED Joey's music when I was in junior high. I listened to it non-stop, and I had all the lyrics memorized. I taped his videos and watched them over and over, as well as episodes of Blossom, just so I could watch him. Go ahead, laugh. I am. :)

I might have to get it just to see. And to have some cheese on my iPod. :)

They totally played this on the 90's station on Sirius the other day. DH had never heard his music before either and just about died laughing. Definitely youtube it!

  • And I just watched the video on youtube...I think my favorite line of the song is "we're meant to be, girl, me and you/but lately you act like I smell like the zoo." Even cooler? It is during the 90's-tastic, white-boy "rap" sequence. Ahh...I think I might bust out some shiny, florescent bike shorts now!

It's okay, I totally sent my mom a link to a site on Amazon that sells the Blossom DVD box set as a Christmas present idea for me.  Embarrassed

  • That is awesome. I had his first album on a TAPE which I listened to on my WALKMAN.

    I was that cool.
