Stolen from MM: TV actor salaries
Re: Stolen from MM: TV actor salaries
Though I'm aware it's pretty popular, it BOGGLES THE MIND that the guys on Two and a Half Men make as much as they do. I do not know a single person who has ever even watched an episode of that show. The kid is in the same league salary-wise as Steve Carell? I never would have guessed that in a million years.

Is Two and a Half Men really that popular? I've never seen an episode.
What would be really interesting is to see how much money each of these shows make and what percentage of that money goes to the actors/actresses.
Yeah, that show blows every other show out of the water. My mom loves it, but I can't get into it.
The thing that surprised me the most was that the stars on The Closer and Rescue Me make so much more than Anna Paquin on TrueBlood. I would have thought HBO would pay more than TNT!

I don't know. You have to pay specially for HBO. I'm sure tons more people even get TNT than HBO. And for that you can swear and push the envelope more on HBO. I think it has other advantages but that comparison actually makes sense to me. And Kyra Sedgewick has been acting since Anna Paquin was in diapers (and Dennis Leary's no slouch either).
Speaking of long-time actors, I was a little surprised about Tom Selleck being low(er) on the list. Though I didn't even realize he had a show on TV, so I suppose it makes sense in those terms. Most people have probably forgotten who he is!

I think Tom Selleck's show is upcoming, so that puts him in the class of new shows the article talks about not paying high.
Still in shock on how much Sheen makes. I'd cut his pay just for fear of him being thrown in jail when he should be taping!

I love 2.5 men! As does my dad, my mom, my brother and my husband.
I think the schtick has gotten a bit tiresome now, but it was a solidly hilarious show for a good 3-4 years. Plus it's in syndication now, which is where the big bucks are. The network is paying those guys just a sliver of what they are making off of it. It's sick.
Ed O'Neil and Jane Lynch should be making waaaay more. They are both so brilliantly talented.
