in a completely unrelated note, we finally got cable installed since moving into our new place! H, aka the cheapest man alive, was convinced that the household purse strings needed tightening. and, he maintained, we'd rarely watch it. however, after my weeks of pressure, he relented.
um, why did he spend the entire afternoon yesterday watching football? i love it when i win. hehehe.

if you know he's drunk, why would you send out to drive his van again? I dunno what I would in that situation, but asking him to leave seems equally irresponsible....
Yes, I would be furious.
My story might top her's. When we had Comcast (we switched to wonderful Verizon after this) a guy came to hook up the cable in our bedroom. I was working but my husband was home. The guy set it up and was testing out the channels. It was like 10am. The cable guy said that he wanted to see if our premiums channels worked so he looked at the screen channel guide and out of all the channels he picked one of HBO's adult documentary movies! The guy apparently stood there for a little while watching it in my freakin bedroom! Disgusting! I'm glad I wasn't there. We called to complain and they just took down our information, that's it. We were pissed and switched to Verizon FIOS. We're so much happier with them.
