Websites for hotel deals - hotwire, etc?
Anyone used one of those websites that doesn't tell you the name of the hotel you're booking under afterward? I haven't used them before, I usually book straight through the hotel, but I'm having a hard time finding a reasonable rate for an overnight trip in Sept.
What are your favorite sites for cheap hotel fares?

Re: Websites for hotel deals - hotwire, etc?
I've used Hotwire and Priceline before and have had success with both. However, I kindof like Hotwire better because the price is posted, you just can't tell which hotel it is. With Priceline you do the bidding and that's just more work and I usually end up with a similar price to Hotwire anyway.
Also, if you're not visiting a super-populated area, alot of times you can figure out which hotel it is, or within a couple, based on the description.
Oh yeah, you're right! I *think* I've figured out 2 hotels it might be. If I'm right, I'd be okay with either of them, and it's a lot cheaper than what I was seeing on Travelocity.
