What is your favorite dry cleaner?
I used to use KEM which was conveniently located in Nisky. It has since closed and i started using a local guy, trying to be all supportive of a small business owner. But seriously, he keeps jacking up his prices and i picked up 2 sweaters today and my bill was $22! Seriously? Isn't dry cleaning is dry cleaning? I don't think there is a difference between KEM and their $4 sweater or a $10 sweater cleaning from Mr. Local.
Re: albany area ladies
I've been trying to find a new one myself (I used to use one closer to where I worked).
For things that don't need special pressing to look great I've been using the Dryel system with my clothes dryer. It's worked really well on the things I've used it for.
I was just going to post this! For things like sweaters and pillows w/delicate fabric, we use Dryel at home in the dryer. It's easier than a drop off/pick up for us and so much more reasonable. They always come out nice and fresh.
