Do's and Don'ts for Husbands &Wives

Okay ladies, I saw this on another board and thought it would be fun to do over the weekend since it is usually pretty slow...

Write one Do or Don't for both a husband and a wife....

Re: Do's and Don'ts for Husbands &Wives

  • Okay I'll Start.....

Wife: Don't always assume your husband knows why you're upset with him (even if he should know), it's better to explain why in a calm manner then to give him the silent treatment.

Husband: Don't ask me where something is if you haven't even tried to look for it yet, if I find it in less then a minute, I'm definitly going to be annoyed with you!

  • Husband AND Wife:  Don't compare your relationship with your spouse to a previous marriage or relationship.

  • Wife- Always try to be kind. Be appreciative of your husbands hard work around the house...even if it takes all day. Realize that he is doing it for us...and that he would much rather be doing something else with me. ha

husband- please for goodness sake...listen to us the first time. If you dont want to be nagged at... just listen the first time.

I HATE HATE HATE repeating myself.

  • wife: if you're upset about something, keep your anger directed towards that one thing (i.e. don't get pissed that H didn't take the trash out if you're really mad that he left the laundry on the floor.)

husband: ditto the listening! LISTEN TO ME. Or, alternatively, if you're not in the mood to listen, just tell me so I don't waste my breath.

both: always always kiss goodnight. always.
