My heart is breaking.
I dont even know where to start.
My grandma was given two weeks left of life today. She has cancer and it has spread so fast and fierce. She has a grapfruit size mass in her pelvic area and two golf ball size ones on her liver, and she only has one functioning kidney. She aslo has something on one lung.

I'm sorry Ang! I know those words might feel hollow but I went through the same thing with my grandma. I honestly can say I still cry about her never meeting DH and my future family but I treasure all the time I did get to spend with her. She was diagnosed with cancer for 13 days. I am so sorry, my heart is with you. Treasure what you time you have.

Ok, now that I have contained myself.
The Dr. said that they wouldnt do Chemo b/c it is too aggressive and would make her more sick and miserable than what she is. And they are not going to do anything about her kidney. They said there was no sense in removing it due to risk of infection and being too much a "serious" operation. She didnt need to be put thru that.
So hospice came in and talked to my mom and I. My grandma's wish is to go home. She knows she has cancer, but she doesnt know her time frame. My mom's thinking is not to tell her b/c she doesnt want her to give up.
Fortunatley, my grandma has all her legal issues set and even had her funeral paid for. So that is one less thing my mom has to worry about.

I'm sooo sorry Angi! Who knows? Maybe she'll prove every one of those doctors wrong and live a lot longer than that. I'm sure it's hard right now - but try and keep your chin up and enjoy your Grandma as much as possible right now. You and your family are in my thoughts & prayers!
