Comcast Vent - Need other recs?
Is anyone else's Comcast bill sky high? We pay a little over $200 a month for internet, basic phone, and HD cable. This is crazy!
Any recs for other companies that are cheaper?
Re: Comcast Vent - Need other recs?
We have Direct TV and internet through Qwest and have not had any problems.
We pay $85 after all fees and taxes.

Same deal for us. No problems with either.

I think we're going to do this. We're paying $190 per month for HD stuff and HBO. We'll switch after True Blood ends. Then I think we'll get Netflix so we can watch stuff with the PS3 or Wii or whatever they have that streams over either playstation thingy.
we just switched to directv and qwest too.
We called and asked comcast if they could do anything to lower our bill and they said no. When we called to cancel, they didn't even try to fight for our business.
This is what we pay total for Dish Network and Qwest DSL for internet.

this post inspired me to check out my internet options - the only thing tying me to my home phone is that there's no real savings if I drop my phone and just have internet through qwest.
I think I just figured out how to "tether" my cell phone and use it as a modem - just a quick google search and a free download and I'm online wirelessly!
Another vote for DirecTV. Love it! We had Comcast at our last home because it was a condo and we weren't allowed to install satellite dishes so DirecTV was not an option there. We switched to DTV when we moved into our house. You get so many more channels for a lower price than Comcast.
Unfortunately, Qwest does not service our area, so we can't bundle our DTV with internet service. We pay separately and have our internet service through Frontier. I wish we could go through Qwest because it would be a lot cheaper. Right now we're paying about $120 for TV and internet because we're paying 2 separate companies (it breaks down to about $60 for DTV and $60 for internet).
