Just chillin' in the airport
As I mentioned, I'm leaving today for training in Orlando. I don't know why I didn't remember, from all those times I flew up to visit DH when he was living in New England before I moved up here, that leaving out of Providence on a Sunday is an absolute nightmare. As of right now, we're at a two-hour delay!
Anyone else have good flying stories to share?
Re: Just chillin' in the airport
Our flights before and after the honeymoon was one long continuous nightmare!
Our flight out of Tulsa was delayed because of snow in Dallas. By the time we left, we had already missed our connecting flight in Dallas and was even more pissed off to fly over Texas and see lots of green grass... yep no snow! We land and got the last flight out to Miami but when we landed, I think the rejects were working because it took them TWO HOURS to get our bags off the plane. We missed the hotel shuttle and had to take a cab, who acted like he didn't know where the hotel was in Miami. Then we get to the hotel and the doors were locked but we eventually made it in and passed out.
The cruise was AWESOME and more than made up for the horrendous flight. But coming back, our flight was delayed AGAIN and we missed our connecting flight in Dallas. We somehow got the last flight AGAIN to Tulsa and were ready to kiss the ground when we landed.
So the moral of the story is, American Airlines is the absolute worst I have flown EVER in all my years of flying.
Have a safe trip! :-P
I'm glad I ended up booking our vacation flight into Boston instead of Providence! I very much dislike delayed flights.
I can't think of any fun flight stories of my own, but one of my college friends is currently on a flight with Betty White a few rows ahead of her.
Our flight to and from Vietnam for our honeymoon was amazing. If I ever have the opportunity to fly Asiana airlines again, I won't hesitate.
I have two many flight stories to share, I used to travel constantly for work! But the best was when we were coming back from Dubai and our flight to Toronto got canceled, we weren't going to be able to fly out for another 2 days and the airline wouldn't pay for a hotel because it was weather related. We hopped on a flight to Buffalo and took a $175 cab ride across the border. This was all after a 16+ hour flight from Dubai to JFK, that I puked the whole way on because I had gotten a parasite. Yes, it was pretty fabulous.
Have fun Misa, hopefully it's not all work work!
