Anyone had flooring installed?
If so, what type of flooring was it? Who did you use? Cost?
We want to install laminate in our dining room and living room and I'm thinking that with DH's work schedule lately, it may be worth it to hire someone. However, I have no idea where to look so any ideas/recommendations would be appreciated! TIA

Re: Anyone had flooring installed?
We just got a room re-floored in laminate. We used Home Depot, got a 30-year warranty Pergo and it was installed in a day. It costs $35 for the measurement (done digitally) that they do. The installation company is called Cooper.
I used the Home Depot on NW Expressway, and got to know the main flooring guy there, Paul, quite well via phone. I called A LOT. The guy who installed the floor was professional, discreet, and I don't even think he used my bathroom and he was here all day lol.
We are very happy with how it looks. The cats have the nicest room in the house now. The installation came with a 1 year warranty and Cooper's sending someone tomorrow evening to check out a sticky sound we've been hearing in the middle of the room. Hopefully it's just the heat.
We just had wood floors installed by Bailey's carpet in Norman. I think the installation was $3.25 a square foot. They had to take out the old wood floors and install the new - it took four days. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work.
As far as Lowe's/Home Depot - you do have to buy the product from them to have them install it. But basically, they just subcontract out the work. Did the people at Lowe's Norman tell you they don't do installation because we nearly bought our floors from them and they definitely did installation at that time (January 2010)?
If you are interested, I can give you the name of the subcontractor that has done most of the work in our house. No doubt he can give you the name of someone to install them for you.
