Some of it may sound weirds, but we are literally tring to incorporate all the bride's favorite foods.
First we have out as people arrive we'll already have out "Crudite": Cheese/Crackers/Pepperoni
Hummus/veggies
Salsa over cream cheese with Tortilla chips
When mostly everyone is there, we'll put out "Savory Selections":
Crab Dip with French Bread
Cheddar Cheese dip in a bread bowl
Baked Brie
We will freshen up the crudite stuff, refill, and make look neat again and add it to our lunch table of:
Deli platter
Chips and Onion dip
Feta Cheese Pasta Salad
Pizza Bites
Dessert:
Cupcake Tower
Berger Cookies (Chocolate topped cookies)
Fruit Trifle
Re: Critique Shower menu
I don't think you need a crudite platter AND Cheese/Crackers/Pepperoni, Hummus/veggies, Salsa over cream cheese with Tortilla chip all out at the same time unless the hummus & veggies is the sole crudite? That seems like a lot of food concidering how heavy the dips and rest of the food is. There is cheese in nearly every dish of the menu in some form or another-is anyone not a cheese fan or lactose intolerant? There isn't going to be much for them to eat. It also seems kind of dip heavy. Maybe get rid of the onion dip and replace it with a broccoli salad or slaw? Something a little lighter?
And maybe instead of fruit triffle just have fruit salad or fruit slices? Berger cookies and cupcakes are both pretty sweet, a lighter alternative might be welcomed.
I agree with pp that it's really heavy on dips/apps. This is ok if this is at 2:00 or so, but the menu needs to be rounded out if it's going to serve as a meal.
Also note that the only healthy things you have are hummus w/ veggies and the deli platter - the rest of the menu feels a little Superbowl-y. I also agree that there's way too much cheese. I'd probably eliminate the cheese dip.
