Dishwasher Detergent: Hutto Ladies

I know this is super random, but we just moved to Hutto and realized how hard the water is! We have a water softener installed, but doesn't seem to help all that much. I am having issues with getting the dishes in our dishwasher clean!!!! Everytime we run the wash, there is a white film residue left over. We had a repair guy come flush out the system, I have used Cascade, the powder and Pamoilve (spelling?) liquid, and I am using jet dry as well.

 Any other Hutto ladies have the same problem or use a dishwasher detergent that works?

    if it makes you feel any better, it's not just hutto!

    I've used lemi-shine in the past, although I can't really tell you if it's helped or not. but it's fairly inexpensive so it's worth a shot.  I'm pretty sure I bought it at target or HEB.

    I had the same problem with the hard water in Georgetown. The ladies here suggested Lemi-shine and it's like night and day.  I thought all my brand new dishes and glasses were ruined from the residue, but lemi-shine saved them. It was seriously like a commercial. :) Use the lemi-shine in the main wash compartment of your DW and powder detergent in the pre-wash section.
    We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

    We use lemi-shine and it works very well.  You can find it at HEB.

    The ILs bought us a new dishwasher back in December.  I noticed that when I turned off the heat dry on my dishwasher, my dishes seemed to come out a lot less filmy.  I've also been told to use Cascade Complete over the regular dishwashing detergent with our new washer.  Haven't tired it because turning off the heat dry seems to do the trick.  We really don't need the heat dry because ours also has a santizing rinse.  Not sure if you can turn off the heat dry on yours though.  It'll depend on the age of the dishwasher I guess.  GL!
