what was the best and worst part of your weekend?
Re: Manic Monday
best: spending time with friends at a baby shower for a former coworker!
worst: my ant bites turned into bigger spots, and DH and i found out the vanity we bought for upstairs is too deep for the space...so we're gonna use it downstairs, but all the shallow vanities are UGLY.
My Shopping Blog
Best: I had a really low key weekend with no commitments.
Worst: DH had 3 friends in town for the weekend and they went to the Braves games Fri and Sat night. Both nights they came in super late and woke me up. Sunday I had to do a ton of laundry washing sheets and towels.
Best: We were in Chicago for my grandma's memorial service (she passed in January at the age of 97). It was great seeing and hanging out with family. I love being with my cousins. It was also fun to read some of the letter's my grandpa wrote to my grandma in 1932 before they were married when he was still courting her. He was so in love. It was so sweet to read those letters.
Worst: Seeing and realizing how sick one of my cousins is.
best - MrBAMF applied for an awesome job opportunity. It would mean pay 2x for him! We won't know anything for a while though
<-- here begins the waiting game. We saw The Expendables on Sat. (good, mindless fun) and got to sit poolside for a while yesterday.
worst - throwdown of epic proportions at dinner Sat night @ my Parent's house. It was... wowriffic. (We were innocent bystanders).
I added the myfitnesspal app to my iPhone too.
Sugar seems to be a big problem with me.
Call me Kat =^..^=
Best - Not having plans.
Worst - Being in pain starting Sunday afternoon through now.
Best: Winning 2nd overall in my mountain bike series and getting a few hundred dollars worth of rocking prizes! Friend's birthday dinner Sat. night and a private wine tasting with a chef at his house
Worst: Getting to bed waaay too late from said bday dinner, not having time to do anything around the house.
Southeastern Cycling
My Nest Bio and Cycling Advice
Best: going to Destin for a long weekend and eating yummy seafood
Worst: I developed a red rash all over that made me very itchy and blotchy. I also witnessed something horrible happen to someone there.
Adventures of A Girl and Her Apron
worst - the whole weekend
best - nothing
Best: Getting a full night's sleep on Friday and Saturday nights
Worst: Having contractions all day yesterday and into the night but they weren't real labor contractions, just Braxton Hicks
Best: I was in NYC....( bridal shower then a with friendsclam bake) sat night. Spent the entire day drinking and eating at 3 rooftops. Saw eat pray love sunday then went to and Indian restruant for apps and sampled some indian food. then went to Little Italy for some Italian aps and desert... could not a bali restruant.
Worst: packing my apartment of 7 years
I know this might be bad to say: if I had not about H's fellowship was so far away I would have put off the wedding a year. I like Atlanta, just having a hard time leaving NYC. I need to let it go with the flow. Having resentment this early in ( a month is not good)
I know it must be hard for you to leave. NYC is such a great place, and as most of my family is from there, most say they would never leave. Just look at it all as one big adventure, and I'm sure you all will end up exactly where you need to be. I didn't move nearly as far away, but I moved from NC to GA the day we got home from our honeymoon because DH is finishing up his masters degree. I'm pretty much always in a state of homesickness and I'm having a really hard time adjusting, but I'm making a conscious effort not to blame my DH for it, because you're right. Resentment is never a good thing. I know this will be such a small blip on the radar in the years to come that I know I can survive it. And I hope the same is for you, too. Best of luck with everything and WELCOME to GA.
