Vet Recommendations

Hi Ladies,

H and I adopted a dog this past weekend -- she's a 2 1/2 Spaniel Mix, sweet girl -- and we're looking for a good vet.  A person from the adoption agency recommended Mason Family Pet Hospital... but I wanted to get some recommendations first before contacting anyone.

Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks!

  • We live in the Hyde Park/Oakley area. We don't mind driving if it's a good vet.
  • Hopewell Animal Hospital in Loveland.  It's just off 275 (Loveland-Madeira exit).  We've been taking Roxy there since she was a wee pup - 3 years.  I've never had a problem and they are fantastic with her.  We love it there and the staff (especially Dr. Murrell) is so kind and compassionate.

  • I highly recommend Animal Care Centers.  I mostly use the one in Blue Ash, but have also gone to the Fairfield location.  (513) 769-7387.  We also use them for boarding and have been very happy with them.  Great docs there!  Congrats on your new dog- have fun with her!
  • We go to Henehan Animal Hospital in Old Milford and love him.  He has opened up on several occasions so that we could get care for our dogs without having to go to an e-vet.  I feel that he really is in this business because of his love for animals and not the money.  He will always offer a natural treatment over a prescription of it's plausible.  Also, he is the only vet in the practice, so you see him every time.  He really gets to know you and your dog, which makes me feel comfortable.  I feel his prices are very competitive.

  • Paw Print Animal Hospital in Newtown.  Dr. Gabe Bercz.  He is so good that I travel from West Chester to see him.  We have used him for the past 18 years.  He always goes over & above to figure out what is ailing your pet.  Also, the Vet Tech Heather is a WONDERFUL vet tech.

  • Thanks for all the recs!! :D H and I are going to try calling these places and hopefully get her seen by a vet this weekend!

     Thx again!

  • We go to Eastgate Animal Hospital (www.eastgateanimal.com) for our cats. All the doctors we've worked with have been awesome and personable, the staff really love the animals, and they have a 24-hour on-call service for patients that I've used a couple of times to ask about concerns and how to treat them at home. They're fantastic.
