Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Matty got me a Nook for my birthday!
It's charging right now. I can't wait to play with it.
We are freaks and don't have WiFi at home (conscious choice), so I'm going to have to pirate our neighbors' signal or figure out how to get it connected to the internet by plugging it into our computer.
Of course I have a huge stack of physical books waiting to be read! LOL

Second...you're gonna love it!! Jake got me a Sony Reader for christmas and it's awesome.
There are some places on the internet where you can download some of the classics for free, and then you should be able to search to see if any of your local libraries "lend" e-books.

Thanks! My local system doesn't have e-books yet, but I already got my card through the Access program for the Free Library of Philadelphia, so I'll start downloading from there soon. After I read my way through some of this backlog... LOL My boss is looking into NetLibrary, but they're being a pain.
In other birthday news, MIL sent me a card and signed it " Lynn/Mom." Am I seriously supposed to call this... WOMAN... "Mom"? Not happening.
YIKES!!! I would just ignore the Mom part. Pretend you never saw that and keep calling her whatever you call her.
