Vent about DH!

Ok, so I just took the leaf out of our dining room table by myself and was lifting it up to move into the other room where we store them, and it slipped and hit the table top and put 3 little nicks in the table.  So I shouted.

Enter DH.  "What did you do?!?!"

Me:  "I dropped the *E#&#* leaf and it hit the table and nicked it."

DH:  "Why didn't you ask for help?"

Me:  "Because I had it done as far as I knew.  I didn't think I needed help."

DH:  "If I had done that, you would have been yelling at me for not asking for help."  [Said while yelling]

Ok... first of all, way to rub it in d!ck.  I know I screwed up, hence the yelling of the explative.  Second of all, if you had taken the flippin' leaf out of the table with your brother's help yesterday afternoon when I asked you to, I wouldn't have been doing it by myself.

I am so exhausted with him lately.  We just keep having the same stupid fight over different things.  I am so pissed.  Seriously, I feel like I am already a parent.  We have been talking about TTC, and lately I feel like I already have my hands full with a kid.  I am so over it!

Re: Vent about DH!

  • I can hear DH saying something similar. Sorry it happened and the comments made it worse.

  • I totally feel your pain! My personal "DH is my kid" example is when he opens the fridge and asks me where something is, and I can see it from across the room! He just doesn't want to look for it! Hello lazy!

  • Ugh - we all have our moments - I still get frustrated that I feel like I do all the housework, plus work full time, and all I really want DH to do is take out the trash .... and half the time I end up doing it
  • I totally understand, my DH does the same kind of crap.  I feel like I am his mom a lot of the time which is highly irritating...

  • You are not alone!  Men are so frustrating sometimes.  They really wired differently than we are.
