    lol, it feels like I've been pregnant for over a year!  Baby should be here in the next 10 days or so...they will induce in my 39th week if I don't have her by then because of my age.  She hasn't dropped yet so I'm likely headed toward an induction.

    Wow, I've never heard of an induction due to someone's age. Why do they do that? (If you don't mind my asking).

    Women over 40 have an increased risk of stillbirth, which is why we're (the baby and I) are monitored 2x week since 32 weeks and the stillbirth risk goes up after the due date.  I'm not sure why, I think it has to do with the placenta deteriorating faster.  I have an ultrasound 1x/week with the high risk dr and then a non-stress test 1x/week with the ob on separate days so they can make sure she is not in any distress.
