How's the beginning of the week going for everyone?

I have today off so it should be terrific, however both mine and DH's cars are in the shop unexpectedly so I have no car so I will be sitting at home all day with the dog. Hopefully I will be productive!

Today is my first day back to work since I left Friday night. I'm soooo sick. I called off yest and did nothing but lay around b/c I feel like poop. Surprisingly my boss was actually trying to force me to go home this morning, but he was being an a-hole about it so he put me in a sour mood. I hate dealing w/ him anyway, especially when I'm sick. I can't wait until 5pm so I can go home and rest some more.

It's terrific. Heh. Has anyone noticed I rarely come into these things with a terrible? It's too energy draining!

Well, classes start next week, which means things in my office are picking up--finally. This is making the time pass much more quickly. I am down about classes starting next week though. One is online, which I am not happy about at all, and one starts in September and is only 3 weeks--it scares me.

Today is terrific, aside from how sleepy I am! I fell asleep at 9 last night (which is awful because I really wanted to see the Weeds premiere), only woke up once to pee, and I still feel like I got no sleep last night.

Otherwise, I definitely can't complain .

I had major insomnia last night...only 2 hours of sleep. UH.... work is busy and 2 people resigned yesterday. Drama.... I'm just enjoying my front row seat... Cool

Mine will be terrific or terrible depending on the outcome of me depositing our delinquent contractor's latest check for 1300 bucks. If it goes through, then it'll be terrific and I can get some stuff for our remodel. If it bounces again, it'll be terrible because that means I have to sue him which I just really don't want to do. As much as this guy chafes my hide, I really have no desire to ruin his professional reputation, not to mention spending oodles of hours preparing a legal case against him in a state clear across the country from me. I laid down the, this is your last chance to resolve this without legal intervention, line today. One of the projects he owes mega money on is a government job. I don't think that they'll be happy to have me put a lien on it.

My Tuesday is just "meh." Nothing truly terrible, just annoying scheduling changes, calls to Medicare, etc. I'm really really ready to move on from this position, but haven't a clue where to go.

Some. We just want to make sure we're moving for the right reasons. Back in 2008, we moved to Philly so that DH could pursue grad school at UPenn and about a month after we moved, he changed his mind. We were stuck there with no friends, underemployed, and no purpose. I don't want to repeat that.

We have meetings set up with family friends who work in fields we're considering for advanced study. Mine just got back due to the above mentioned scheduling changes and I'm a little bummed that I have to wait longer to get out--that's all.

It's kinda terrific today. Our wood flooring is getting installed at the house and we finished all of the painting last night (finally- only took 4 days and a ba-zillion people to get that accomplished; we are so lucky to have such great family and friends to help).

House ready or not, we are moving in on the 28th. I can't wait to have this whole process over with and to sit on the couch in our new pad with my feet up. The only thing that could make it better is if I could have our little girl here and a glasss of wine in my hand!

I am having an exhausted Tuesday. We had a thunderstorm last night and while I don't mind them I can never sleep through them. The lightning always wakes me up. So I sat in bed and read a magazine until about 4am until it died down enough for me to fall back asleep. So since I've been awake this morning I have been doing laundry and get our floors ready to be scrubbed. I am officially going to Starbucks before work and treating myself to a frappe!

It wasn't too bad, but my patience with the training I have to go through for a job I am not even keeping is seriously wearing thin. It's demeaning and I can't wait to quit! I just keep thinking, "they're paying me to sit here and I get to leave it all behind soon. The other poor shmucks in this class don't have that luxury." It kind of works, but sometimes I just want to run out screaming. Oh the things we do for money!
