I can. not. stand it. when people wear flip flops to work! Seriously...do you know where you are?! Gawd, you are in a gov office serving the public, a professional environment, not a beach! Ugh, between flip flops and yoga pants in the workplace, I cannot wait til fall!
Re: OMG STOP!
I know what you mean. It is very tempting for teachers to fall into that habit, because you are working with kids all day, but I think that it is only ok to wear yoga pants to work if you are the gym teacher, or you are going on an outdoor field trip.
Also at church, every spring our priest has to remind people that beachwear is not appropriate. People still do it though.
Yep this bugs me too. The other girl in my office wears them all the time and it makes me just cringe when I hear her flip-flip-flipping when she walks around. I have a pair of backless dress shoes that I wear, and feel these are just barely okay. I even wear dress sandals (not flip-flops) on casual Fridays because I think the sound of walking in flip-flops is so unprofessional.
lol, like, really? Does a priest really need to point that out?! Good lord...literally. We received an email from "on high" here at work that stated pretty much the same thing. "If you look in the mirror and look like you are going to a picnic or the beach, it might be a good idea to change". lmao

Ditto this. I don't wear anything that flip-flops.
I hate the sound flip flops make. Even though pretty much anything (besides revealing clothes) is permitted in our office I would never wear them because of the sound they make.
People wear anything to my workplace. I work for a old-school drilling company and this one girl comes to work in her work out gear (and its not the nice stuff either). Her excuse it that if she is already in her workout gear she will more than likely end up at the gym instead of skipping and going home. I understand that, which is why I change at work right before I head to the gym but I don't wear my workout clothes ALL day long. Even though lots of people here where jeans and a sweatshirt every day I like to dress a bit more professional. I think it does alot for the impression your co-workers have of you.
Happy Easter

I 100% agree. The SAD thing is when adults do it...jeans? t-shirts? runners!!!! I've even seen a track suit, but the worst of all IMO is when I saw booty shorts!!! Yup!
Jeezzzeee....I wear a dress [no strapless or spaghetti] skirt/dress pants & nice top w/ heels. DH is dress pants, dress shirts (short sleve in the summer) and Nice shoes. Even Mia dresses up....babies in a sleeper I don't like either but "meh".
