If your H works late or OOT
what do you do during the evenings/after work? Or on the weekends? When DH is home it's not like we do anything more than hang out together, but I get so damn bored when I'm home by myself. I've graded papers, watched some tv, and eaten a sandwich. Now I'm bored and it's way too quiet, blah.
Re: If your H works late or OOT
DH works 7pm-7am, 6 nights on then 8 nights off. I DVR my trashy reality shows when he's off and watch them when he's working, read, drag one of the TV's into the bathroom and watch Netflix on demand from the tub, drink wine, eat appetizers for dinner, go out with girlfriends or hang solo with couple friends, and, occasionally, work on my research. I have to be REALLY bored to do work in the evenings, though.
If I get totally stir crazy I'll make a big dinner or bake something yummy and take it to the hospital where DH works around 1am so he and the 5 people who work with him can enjoy it (and I can get a few minutes of interaction.)
I may keep this in mind and combine all of the above, lol.
The only problem is that I can only make it through one Law and Order episode before I start to get really pruney. Then again, I suppose if I took the bottle of wine into the bathroom with me instead of just a glass, I might not care
I watch movies or eat things that he won't. I also sometimes use the time to clean since I have a hard time doing that when he's here. Sometimes I'll call a friend and go out with them.
Whenever I'm out, he does pretty much the same.
Well, when I have JJ, my nights are completely shot. It's usually make dinner, play with him, get him bathed, get him to bed, then do chores. On the nights when that gets done early though, I use that time to catch up on movies, write in my journal and read some good books. And, now that I've started scrapbooking, that's keeping me busy, too.
Being a true sports girl at heart, my weeks go by faster in the fall and spring because I start watching NFL and NBA games, which fall on all sorts of days of the week. That makes the night go by REALLY fast.
I like to have a project...like planting a pot in the backyard, mopping the house, baking cookies, doing freezer meals, etc.
Most of the time, though, I read a book, play on the internet, play with the dogs (and my kid, of course) and enjoy the backyard.
