So today, I was at Wegmans and had my eye on a close parking spot... As I was going to turn left into the parking aisle, I saw a Buick style car put on its left blinker... I assumed he was going to stop at the end of the lane, and turn left to go down the next parking aisle..
However, as I was turning left into the lane, the Buick was all angled, and it was difficult for me to drive through. I was chalking it up to bad driving, and then, as I pulled into my spot, I realized it was an old person who was turning into a handicapped spot!
I felt terrible about cutting him off, and so as he was getting out of his car, i went to him and apologized for cutting him off - and he was just all rude back to me - saying "yeah, ok"
And that annoyed me. I mean, I know he doesnt have to accept my apology, but I could have just walked on by and not said anything..
This is all stupid I know, but the whole situation just bothered me.
Re: Grocery Store Parking
Old people can be grumpy, don't let it bother you -- but it's very sweet that you apologized!
totally off topic - I was just going to page you, you're still at Ommengang, right? DH and I went to a Bacon & Beer tasting sponsored by Ommengang/Duvel at a bar while we were in Chicago. The bar was Paddy Long's and it was a fabulous event! The bartender who was leading the tasting was super knowledgeable and personable. He really knew what he was talking about, and he represented your brand wonderfully. Don't know how involved you are in that stuff, but I did want to let you know since you're at the brewery!

I am still at Ommegang - mmmm beer and bacon - sounds delicious!
maybe he was embarrassed, but i thought he was just being an bitter old man...
