In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I almost can't believe it...
It feels kinda like a dream.
After climbing up what seemed to be a never ending ladder of struggling, dreaming, researching and planning...and living apart from my DH for the last 6 weeks (he's living with family in NC, working and house-hunting while our DD and I are living with family in MA)...it's finally happening! We found a great house in Matthews and we're moving down early next week. My husband went down to NC taking a HUGE risk: After being unemployed for over a year, he offered a company that wasn't even hiring his services for a month, telling them if he doesn't help fulfill their company's needs, don't pay him a dime and send him home. Well, he not only fulfilled their needs, he blew them away. He was told he definitely had a job - better than what he was aiming for - on day two! I couldn't be more proud of him! After living there for a short time before we met, he has wanted to move to NC for good and I never considered it but when his industry dried up in this area due to the crappy economy, it seemed like it's now or never. Neither of us like the freezing cold winters here or the "me first" and "time is money, so hurry the f* up" attitude a lot of people here seem to have (most ppl we know here actually agree). We're also the only - and I mean o.n.l.y - NASCAR fans we know here, so we're excited...it feels like the start of something pretty cool.
I guess this is my way of saying hi to my (soon-to-be) fellow NC nesties! Look out cuz here we come - ours will be the moving truck with the sign that reads "DALE JR'S PLACE OR BUST!!!"
