Getting rid of stuff after wedding?
What do I do with it all, I just got married in July and have so much stuff left over and have absolutely noooo idea what to do with it! Any ideas??

Re: Getting rid of stuff after wedding?
What kind of stuff do you have? I guess it depends on what you have, but here are some general ideas...
You could donate it to a charity, try to sell it (there is a Trash to Treasure board), maybe repurpose it for yourself, maybe there is someone else you know who could get some use out of it.
It really depends on what it is. I turned my card box that I made into a container for junk on top of our fridge.
The rest of it....well, I'm not really sure what happened to it. I called some family and asked if they wanted any of it and I guess they did since most of it was gone after the honeymoon!
P.S. - I got married in July too!!!

I've been doing a lot of donating. Because we live in a small NYC apt I was really big on getting rid of as much as I could as soon as I could and don't really have time to try and sell stuff and wait for it to go.
When buying items for our wedding, I tried to find items that I could repurpose. For example, our centerpieces were consisted of drinking glasses and reusable cloth napkins. River rocks that I could've kept for decorating our house, but found someone else who could use them.
So, I have repurposed a lot of items and the stuff that I thought someone else could use I have listed on a "For Sale Webpage" and listed the site on the Trash to Treasure board here on The Nest, Fall Wedding (fall wedding theme in June) and my Local Board.
I have sold a bunch of stuff from those listings to recoup some cost and help other bride to bes out.
