where to by liquid smoke for cooking?

i've been coming across more and more recipes that call for this. does anyone know where i can purchase this?

Re: where to by liquid smoke for cooking?

  • When I buy it it's always in the ketchup type aisle next to the Worchestire Sauce and that type of thing.

Yep, any major grocery store should carry it. Look near dressings, condiments, or other cooking flavorings (like the vinegars). It's usually on the top shelf. Let us know if you try any great recipes!
  • My meatball recipe has it in the sauce (it's like a barbeque type sauce) and it's REQUIRED at every holiday I do with my family now.  I got the recipe from my best friend so the are called Laura's Meaty Balls.  I can post if you would like....

  • Like PP said, there may only be 1 or 2 faces of it on the top shelf.  It's dark in color and comes in a smaller bottle.  My husband is obssessed with it!  I had to laugh when I saw this post because he always asks to use it in everything!

  • Some brands are reaaly concentrated and some are really weak.  And it seems that every time I go to buy it, the store has a different brand.
