Please recommend a label maker.

Hi ladies,

This board has me inspired to tackle a couple of projects but I think to be truly organized a label maker would be a huge plus. Please recommend yours since I have no idea which one to get and the price range is all over the place.

TIA

Re: Please recommend a label maker.

  • Dymo Personal label maker. You want one that's electronic. As neat as the embossed ones were in middle school, they don't cut it for home projects. The Personal is small, has all the symbols/features you need, and is inexpensive (about $20 at your local big-box store). Label refills are easy to come buy since it's their classic product.

The larger, more expensive ones have added symbols and whatnot, but I've used them at work and you still get the same end result as far as the label itself, so I see no reason to spend the money. You can always buy different label refills (paper, plastic, colored, etc.)

  • I have a Brother P-Touch labeller. I got it for a great price last August in preparation for the school year. I love it!
