On a whim, like 2 months ago I sent my resume to a full time job, I don't even want a full time job.
I heard from them earlier this week via email, wanting to set up a phone interview so I said OK. It is today at 4:30 P.M.
I am not even remotely interested in a full time job right now. I'm really tempted to email the guy and explain that I'm not interested in a full time job right now, but thanks for the opportunity for a phone interview but I would be cancelling since I'm not even interested.
J will be pissed if I cancel it, but why even bother doing it if it isn't what I want???? I could always just tell him I did it, he wouldn't know the diff.
Or should I just do it for the heck of it??
But then what if I do it and they want me to come in?? I don't want it to even go that far because I'm not interested. A full time job sounds nice, but when it comes down to it, I'm just not ready to leave D for a full time job right now. Part time - absolutely, Full time - no way, unless we were desperate which we are not
Re: WWYD???
Hmmm, that's a tough call.
One one hand, I'd hate to waste the company/interviewer's time if you're truly not interested. On the other hand, it would be good to keep your interviewing skills fresh, and who knows, maybe they'd be open to PT or have another position coming up that could be PT?
And if it will save an argument with J, I might just go ahead and do it.
If you don't want a FT job then why did you apply for one?? I wouldn't waste their time.
I am asking myself the same thing Tami!! I really don't remember. I always look for part time work and I think I applied for a bunch of part time jobs and this one full time one for the heck of it. It was a long time ago.
I really didn't think I'd be contacted to be honest just because the job market for secretarial jobs is so saturated with applicants.
but I would do it anyway"
