I want to give you all a shout out for surviving this incredibly hot summer! It was only really hot for the last three weeks before I delivered, and I was miserable!
And advice (feel free to ignore it!):
The time right before the baby is born is a crazy time filled with anticipation, discomfort, and sleep deprivation. Ignore those who tell you to sleep now because it will be worse when the baby comes (I couldn't sleep at all), but do take lots and lots of naps! Being awake with a newborn is much better than being awake because your hips hurt!
Savor the last few days/weeks alone with dh, while having a baby will be amazing, it also means a huge change in your married life. Take Liz's advice, see a movie, go out to eat, stay out late and have ice cream. I can count on one hand how many times I have been out after dark this year! Enjoy some romance!
That's all! I've been MIA, but I've been thinking of you all

aaawww...that's so sweet Tracy! Thanks for the bit of advice...very kind! I do agree with you, sleeping sucks! I'm only 5 1/2 months and am so uncomfortable sleeping. I toss and turn. I definitely enjoy naps much more. I feel like I fall into a deep sleep even tho' it lasts only an hour or 2.
The summer hasn't been too terrible for me...thankfully, I'm not close to 9 months pregnant, so that's why it's bareable.
I'm definitely an overly-emotional pregnant lady today, but I still thought this was such a sweet post - thank you!
This summer felt brutal to me! Once we got a second a/c unit and the 100 degree days broke it was better, but boy did waiting on the subway platforms suck!
And thanks for the great advice! I'm definitely going to take it to heart. I can see my self getting lost in the "getting ready for baby" activities as we get closer (less than 6 weeks!) and I really want to make sure DH and I enjoy these final weeks on our own.
thanks for the thoughtful advice!
the summer wasn't horrible, the only really tough part for me was the subway platforms, there were times when i felt i might faint. glad it is almost over, i'm ready for fall!
