f/u to house drama
The seller dropped his price to the appraisal price!!! We are so excited! We were prepared to meet him in the middle if need be, since most of the comps in the area sold for only a couple thousand less than what we contracted for--but we weren't going to pay the full amount we offered. I believe the appraisal was fairly accurate--maybe $2000 off based on comps in the area. [Plus my REA told us this morning that the sellers REA asked her to find a 'lenient' appraiser to look at the house originally].
What a weight off my mind!
