I got a wedding invite in the mail today from my niece. In the envelope is a small sheet that was clearly printed and cut into small sections. This is what it says...word for word:
Dear Family and Friends,
While monetary gifts are preferred, we are also registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond and Wal*Mart.
Awesome!
My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
Re: Wedding Invite...really?
I recently received a bridal shower invite that said:
"X and X have most of their home furnished already, so in lieu of gifts, money or gift cards would be preferred".
I went through the roof. Its fine to say that they already have most everything they need, but come on people. Needless to say, I'm not attending the shower (not just for that sentence but I'm also not close to this person and don't spend any time with her; I know her soon to be hubby and worked w/ him for a few years).
hahaha I love your thinking, Munkii!
Ugh. The wedding DH and I went to last weekend with the "Jeans are welcome, children are not" insert also said (on the same insert) "We are registered at Sears and Crate and Barrel."
Annoying/tacky enough...but when I went to look at their Sears registry it didn't even exist!
