Do you like your PCP and OB/GYN?

Hi ladies,

I am in need of both a new primary care physician and ob/gyn.  I know I can contact my insurance company for recommendations, but if anyone has recommendations I would love some!

Oh, and I live in Boston but drive so anywhere in or around the city!

Thanks! :)

Re: Do you like your PCP and OB/GYN?

  • I really liked Carla Oberst when I saw her. I don't know where she is now, she was at Harvard Vanguard then left for a hospital practice, I think.

I saw Brian Price at HV for OB-GYN services. He was fabulous! I've always said I would never let a man deliver my child, but I would have let him.

  • My ob/gyn is Dr Christannah Domin in woburn- I think she's affiliated with WInchester Hospital but I'm not sure if that's where she delivers (do they even have L&D there?). She's great though- I would definitely recommend her. I don't have any recs for a pcp since I've just been going to the doctors at BU.
  • I'm in the market as well for a new PCP. Mine is never available and when I finally do get an appt, she's so rushed that I swear she's not listening to me.
  • I love Dr Bunnell at NEObgyn in Brookline (on Boston border).  I am looking for a new PCP too...

  • I liked the Nurse Practitioner, Barbara Donnelly, I saw at Harvard Vanguard in West Roxbury (Its off of VFW Pkwy, near Chestnut Hill).

She was really attentive to any questions that I had, and I never felt like she was in a rush to see the next patient.

  • My PCP isn't great, but I <3 my OB/GYN!  Her name is Dr. Jennifer Kickham, and she's right in Boston at MGH.  I've been seeing her for probably about 5-6 years, and I highly recommend her.
Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)

  • I always recommend the Harvard Vanguard network in general; I've been very happy with everyone I've interacted with there, down to the people who answer the phones.  My PCP isn't taking new patients, unfortunately, so I can't provide a rec.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

I'd definitely agree with Rock on this, I saw two PCPs at Harvard Vanguard and they were both wonderful, so were the x-ray technicians, nursing staff, etc. when I sprained both my ankles within a few days of each other.
