Stupid sad blog...

I don't know if anyone else reads www.theblogess.com but it's super sad today.  Her dog died.  It makes me want to go home and snuggle with Mabel all night.

  • won't be clicking that link, sorry.  I can't even watch the news these days.

  • Ugh.  That is exactly why my dogs are never outside by themselves.  Ever.

And it makes me sad she never wants another dog :-(

  • Super sad, but dude she left her pug outside, in a dog run, in Houston, that's just asking for it.  Pugs are Brachycephalic and are prone to heat strokes, same as bulldogs and other smooshed face breeds.

That's a wee bit crass in the wake of a pet death, but I agree with you.

    So sad.  Sad

  • I just cannot imagine leaving my dogs outside. Its sad her dog died, but god. So many things could happen. I won't even leave them in the yard if someones not out there with them. If it was fenced maybe, but I'd never go out and leave them outside.
  • I think she left the dog in her 'dog run' in her yard.  But, yeah, I don't leave Mabel alone outside and I don't think I'd do so even if I had a fenced in yard.  I still can't imagine coming home to a dead dog - that would be a lot to bear.  I have spoken to people who never got another dog after losing one - pet loss is really traumatic.
