XP: Shark Steam Mop anyone have reviews??
Do you have one? If so which model? Do you love it or hate it? Any feedback would be great!!
Re: XP: Shark Steam Mop anyone have reviews??
I had the original. I hated it. It didn't actually clean anything. As soon as I'd get done "cleaning" I could take a white papertowel across the floor and it'd be dirty. Not to mention, the Sharks don't "sanitize" as they advertise. The water heats to 110*F and that's not hot enough to sanitize anything. You need at least 180*F.
I use vinegar/hot water mix in a spray bottle with a microfiber mop and it actually cleans my floors (especially since vinegar is a natural disinfectant). I should mention I have hardwood, bamboo, and ceramic tile floors.
Here's a link to an old post where I pasted a really good amazon review of all of the steam mops:

It's your lucky day, you get both sides of the spectrum! I have the original and I love it. I don't rely on it as my one and only floor-cleaning tool... I pretty much use it for quick once-overs to make the floor look shiny and lovely. I'll get more hardcore with tougher mops and scrubby sponges. I also drizzle some Mr. Clean on the floor and then go over it with the Shark, rather than using the Shark by itself.
I got mine at Big Lot's for under $50, compared to I think $70 or $80 at Walmart and the like? So I'm happy with it for what I spent.
