Weekend plans?

It's been too slow in here lately!

We just had our new laminate flooring pulled up to investigate "the sound." Turns out, the plastic underneath had stuck to the sub-floor, making sticking sound. The flooring guy said, "She was right; she was concerned about how much glue was on the sub floor and I made a judgment call to not put down the powder under the plastic, and it stuck." HAHAHAHA I love being right. I also love the warranty, since we didn't have to pay for today.

In a bit, I'm going to go see Vampires Suck with my sister. 1:20 of silly fun, hopefully.

Tonight I'm making us a big fun dinner of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet tea, and oatmeal-date bars. H is hopefully going on a long bike ride.

Tomorrow, groceries and more cleaning, as usual. I might try a nearby Zumba class in the evening. It's only $5. Why not?

Re: Weekend plans?

  • I have been working the last couple of weeks on stuff to start school for DD on Monday and to get all of my stuff together for the JBF sale, so my house is a wreck.  This afternoon I'm hoping to get it somewhat back in order, then tonight I'm just going to hang out at home with the family.  Tomorrow I shop the JBF presale at noon, and if it's anything like previous sales I'll probably be there until late afternoon and then come home to show off all my bargains to H.  If I get home early enough from the sale, we may go hang with with the ILs tomorrow evening.
  • Last night my sister and I went out to eat, then to the Brooks & Dunn/Miranda Lambert concert.  It was awesome!!  Definitely a great way to start the weekend and I'm so happy I got to spend the time w/ my sister before her classes start back up Monday.

This morning I went to my cousin's little league football game, then to Atwood's and Wally World.  Now I'm ready for a nap.  My only other plans for the weekend are cleaning, mowing, and lesson plans.
  • Nothing too exciting for me. I'm the Vice President of the Student Oklahoma Education Association (SOEA) at OU, so we held an event this morning to recruit members. The rest of the day will be pretty chill.

Tomorrow I have an officer meeting, then work for 4 hours.

  • I don't really have any major plans. I'm thinking about joining a friend for a comedy show at a local bar tonight as a bachelorette party of sorts, but I really don't want to go because there will be tons of people at this bar - many of them that I don't care to see and many of them just hoping to get a glimps of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner (they're in town because Ben is filming a movie and have been frequenting this diner/bar nearly every day). I'm much more in the mood for a quiet night at home (H is away on a weekend fishin' trip) watching my Netflixed chick flick. Ahh... choices.

  • I took DH furniture shopping this afternoon to look for coffee and end tables. We didn't find anything we liked at the used places, so tomorrow or next weekend we'll be going to the new furniture stores. He didn't really want to go, but the warning that if I found something I liked I would buy it and he'd just have to live with it motivated him. Devil
