Where do you keep ironing board?
We use it practically daily so I would hate putting it away every day in a closet. We're currently keeping it in a spare room where the dogs sleep, there's a futon in there and we may turn it into a guest room. But we leave it out all the time and it's unsightlly. My laundry room is too small to iron in there. And I'd rather not keep it in our room.
Does anyone have the ironing board on the back of a door, wall mounted or any other ideas???
Thanks!
Re: Where do you keep ironing board?
We keep ours between the fridge and the wall- perfect space!

We have a tall armoir with a TV on top in our bedroom right next to my closet. The ironing board leans on the side of the armoir. I would like to reorganize my closet someday and keep it inside the closet!
This.
Why are you using it daily? Could you do all your ironing before putting clothes away and then you only need the iron once a week?
I live in an apartment with a full size washer & dryer in an accordion doored closet. I have a tiny ironing board (about 3ft long? 1ft wide) that originally sat on top of a three basket laundry orgaizer I used in college. I've thrown out the plastic basket orgainzier unit, but the small ironing board is compact and portable since there's no feet. I just slip it between the washer & dryer for storage and use it almost every day by putting it on top of the washer and pluggin the iron in the outlet over the washer. I'll never go back to a full size ironing board, and I'd love to have one that folds out of the wall. I've seen lots of old houses that had those, and they've been turned into little closets, but I'd convert them back! My mom has a tiny ironing board like mine mounted under the countertop in her large laundry room. It swings out from underneath like a knife out of a swiss armyknife when she needs it, and right back in when she's done - no one ever has to see it! I'm small, so my clothes don't have a problem on the small board, but my husband is 6'4" and I can iron his shirts just fine. Unless you are ironing sheets or curtains, I can't see the need for a giant full size collapsable board. waste of space! Good luck in finding an ingenuative solution!
I just moved into a house with a built-in one that folds out from the wall- love it! For the 5 years before this I had an over the door one that I also loved.
I do have a full sized board for ironing curtains or if I wanted to do a lot at once and sit in front of the TV. But I rarely get it out. The small one does quite well for every day stuff, even DH's pants and he's pretty tall.
