I'm gonna update, even though there are only like 2 people doing it anymore. :-P Oh well! How I did it with no real motivation, I have NO clue!
Today was my Day 21 with the 30DS. I started level 3 yesterday. And it kicked my butt!! I decided I'm def going to do p90x once I'm done with this (start Sept 1, I think) to keep the results coming. Honestly, I think this is the first time I've EVER seen results this fast with ONLY exercise (my diet is already pretty clean and healthy, so I didn't really do anything to it but have been changing it over the past year, not as a 'diet', but as a lifestyle change). 3 weeks and I've lost my little gut, lost in the love handles, lost some of saddle-bag thunder thighs, gained major flexibility (found that out last night! woot!), and gained strength. Pretty amazing in only 21 days, 20 min a day! And I know I can do more. I'm doing the adapted version of a few of the exercises, so I have a ways to go! Good luck to anyone else who's still on the train.
Oh, my original goal was to look pretty darn good by my SIL's wedding (oct 9), but I think now I wanna be ripped (or extremely lean and trim) by the holidays (Turkey day n Christmas). I also have our HM the first full week in Nov, and I will be in a bikini most of the week, so eeek, I wanna look HAWT! OK that's it. I just worked out so I was thiking about all this and wanted to 'say' it. Yups.
Peace out.
Re: 30DS
hi Z! i'm still trying to hang on to the wagon, but alas, i've missed quite a few days.
congrats! you've been SOO great with it! i wish i had even an ounce of your motivation! keep it up!
I honestly don't know where this motivation is coming from Riva! Usually I SUCK at keeping up with things! But I think a lot of it is that it's only 20 min. EVERYONE has 20 min. The hardest has been the weekends. I always have the urge to be extra lazy then. We'll see if I can keep up once I start a longer workout with p90x. Hope you can hop back on the wagon girl!
we just went backpacking this weekend and did some crazy 6 mile hike up to 1000 ft (amazing views), so I think I'm good for this weekend. We've been getting back into running, and I'm off to do some light workouts right now. You've inspired me, Z!
Thanks!
