just watched marley and me

so i never saw marley & me when it came out b/c i knew i'd just boohoo in the theater.... i just got it on netflix and when dh and i were skype-ing earlier i told him i was going to watch it and he was like "oooh man you are going to bawl your eyes out!" and i was like "what if i dont?" he said "then you arent the woman i married." hahah.

boy was he right. i cried and cried. i had a golden lab growing up and while he wasnt bad like marley, his last days in the movie just reminded me of my dog sparky. awwwww. too cute.

have there been any movies you've cried and cried at lately?

Re: just watched marley and me

  • I haven't seen that yet but I've heard it's super sad.
  • I'm not a big crier anymore. I did tear up at the end at Valentines Day. I thought Babies would make me cry, but it didn't at all. And there was some movie that people told me I would cry for, but I can't remember what it was now....and it's going to bug me all day!

Didn't you say that you didn't cry when you watched Up?

I cry at absolutely ridiculous things these days.  We watched Date Night yesterday, and I actually got a little teary at one point.

I refuse to watch Marley and Me for that very reason...I already tear up when I think about the day when Satchel isn't around anymore.  And he's only 9 months old!

  • I got teary eyed during eclipse (but af was around). If a movie has any sad parts I will most likely cry. I have been known to get teary eyed during movie cartoons

  • tiff- i cried at the end of valentines day too!! (when julia roberts' character comes home)

heather - when re-reading eclipse on the plane back to Guam from San Diego, i got to the part where bella kisses jacob before the battle and tears were just streaming down my face. stephenie meyer is such a great author!!

  • t and i went with my parents to see marley and me. i was sitting in between t and my dad. it was pretty rough since they were both crying. i am not sure there was a dry eye in the theater when we left.

i am strange movies where most girls cry i dont cry at but movies that some people may not find sad i do. although i do have to say i dont cry at most movies.

  • Oh gosh, I was crying so bad during Marley & Me, as well as DH, as well as the whole theaters. People were passing around tissue boxes. Call me crazy, but I actually own that movie on DVD. I've only watched it once since owning it, and DH refuses to watch it with me, but I just had to have it because that dog IS Blakely. She's done some things as equally horrible as Marley, but we love her in spite of that haha.
