I saw this on MN. I am still pretty shocked about this... shocked that there is actually a name for this (look up CDD if you don't know what that stands for - like I didn't). Also, it's interesting how open they are about it, especially the second blog.
Now I normally try to be pretty open-minded but there's just no way I could ever support this. This is abuse... even if it's accepted by the wives. If MH ever tried this with me, he would be the one who couldn't sit for weeks.

Parker spanked me with his hand quite a few times (I lost count after like 30..) and then had me lean over some pillows on our bed and spanked me with a belt. It wasn't as many times I remember him doing it in the past, but they were some pretty hard strikes. Then, he gave me the choice if I wanted 15 with the paddle or soap in my mouth for saying the f-word. I chose 15 with the paddle, because the thought of soap just made me want to throw up. He spanked me 15 with the paddle, and thankfully it was over.
Part of me wonders if it's also a sexual thing, like a turn on of some sort. I'm NOT into that but I know some people are that's why they have those dominatrix outfits out there- yuck! But it totally doesn't sound like it's a sexual thing at all, I mean 15 times with a paddle? I would've taken the paddle to his face!

I've been in 2 relationships where things turned physical and I was out the door pretty quickly. It disgusts me to no end that people would welcome this kind of abuse in their regular life. I mean, if it's all for a little fun in the bedroom (totally not my style) but these sound like real sick people that do this as part of their whole lifestyle. Yuck!
They can say it's not sexual but I'm sure all that power that the men are getting absolutely turns them on. I just can't believe there is a name for this - other than abuse. These girls absolutely believe they deserve their punishments... and they sound like children when they say how long it's been since they've been punished, like they are being such good, obedient little girls. Barf!
and I'm assuming the husband is perfect and never needs punishment...
I try not to judge other's lifestyle choices, but this just seems wacko! I had never heard of it before, and I'm surprised that there are so many people participating in it...and blogging about it!
The more I think about it, the more I think this is a fetish - but that people are looking for a reason to justify it. Maybe they feel guilty for doing something "dirty" and making this part of their marriage and religious beliefs (which it seems to tie back to) makes it more acceptable. I'm saying this because it DOES appear consensual and I'm reading pride (not shame/fear/etc) in the descriptions of the "discipline".
Definitely not my cup of tea, but the more I read, the more convinced that (in these particular cases at least) it's a fetish.
ETA: I should add that I'm not sure that it's an entirely equal kink...I think that at the utah blog at least, it's more on his side - BUT that she still seems to be getting something (if possibly not as much as he is?) out of it. Feel free to call me wrong, as I very well could be!

I thought this too, that it's some sort of weird fetish... It does appear consensual but there are certain posts where the woman says that she's "afraid" of the spankings or what will happen... it's odd to me. Like you said, it must be some sort of weird fetish that they tie to their religion and beliefs in order to make it ok. I think she for sure gets something out of it too, maybe it's more of a turn on to her than to him because in one post I read how she was the one that "told" on herself and knew she'd be spanked if she told... weird! Some people have a foot fetish, some people like to get spanked- ew!!

But even that kind of screams fetish to me - she's using the word "afraid" but the tone isn't there. It doesn't read as actually scared, it's more like, "Ohh, I've been a naughty naughty girl...I'm afraid I might have to be punished!"
