Re: Book Club Check-In!

  • May have started reading it?  No ma'am, definitely have started reading it and am already a little too far ahead.  This book is not only an easy read but SO interesting!  Great pick Amy!!!

My only problem is that, like almost every other book we've read so far, I'm going to finish this way too fast.  I want to participate in the weekly discussions but I usually forget what is known/unknown at certain parts. Plus, I am traveling back to the states soon so there's no way this book will last a plane trip.  My only hope is that a book store in the states has his book Honolulu.

  • I'm not a book clubber, but after reading Cristin's post, I took a look at the Moloka'i synopsis, and it looks interesting!  I might pick up a copy and jump in for this month!

Go for it! If you want to "officially" join up (get a chance to pick a book, etc) let me know and I'll add you to the list. Smile

My copy still hasn't arrived...Amazon is falling down on the job lately. Angry

  • I had to vote "I love taking polls!" because I read the book last summer and I'll probably participate in the discussion without re-reading.  Also, I do love taking polls.

I have the same problem as Cristin -- I can never remember where the cutoff point is in the story, so I don't discuss because I don't want to post spoilers.  Hmm, maybe I should grab a copy just so I can keep it straight.

  • I've already read this one a year or so ago, and LOVED it!!!  I'm hoping to reread it now, so I can participate.

They should.  I've read this one, too, and I got mine at Borders.  You can always call ahead and ask them to hold one, or order one to be in stock for you.
