I decided this morning that I'm going to make a batch of homemade salsa and can it for future use (I bought a canner a few weeks ago with a "hooray we made our sales goal" gift certificate from the cooking store I work at part time). This will be my first attempt at canning and I'm actually really scared about it! I know that if I follow the recipe to a T that it will be fine but I'm a little nervous that I'll do something wrong and give everyone I love botulism!
The recipe is right from a canning cookbook put out by the ball canning jar folks so I have to believe that they know their stuff. Eeks! I hope it tastes good!
Re: home made salsa
Ooh good luck, and have fun! It sounds delicious!
Canning is something I've always wanted to try but am just too lazy... I hope everything goes as planned
Let me know how it goes. As soon as I have a kitchen that can fit both me and canning equipment at the same time, I'll be doing the canning thing too!
