My grandma has a cat and I need to find a home for her.
I can't take her b/c I am very allergic, my mom cant take her b/c she already has a cat and two dogs and it would just be a hot mess.
None of my uncles want the cat either.
I think she is 4 or 5 years old. Long black hair. She is very shy and house trained.
Can anyone help me out or suggest a place for her?
Re: I need pet help
I have more info on the cat. My mom says she is between 2 and 3 years old. She is declawed, fixed and litter box trained...I already said that up there.
I would get a picture of her, but like I said, she is super shy and runs away from me or hinds behind the chair and all you can see all glowing eyes.
I have gotten mass emails from the Fulton County humane society looking for homes for pets. Maybe you could email them and see if they would be able to do that for you to help the kitty find a home. http://www.fultonhumanesociety.com/, I think you can find contact info there.
How awful!! Poor thing! That would be awesome!! I hope they say yes!
How sad.

These are always such tough situations when no one in the family can take on the cat. Did your grandmother express any preference as to where she goes?
Most rescues/shelters are packed to the brim right now, but you could always give a call just to see. Is there anyone that could keep her temporarily until a home is found? The good thing is that she's fixed, trained and declawed, and those all positives when looking for a new home for an adult cat.
Like hound mentioned, sometimes humane societies or rescue groups will do courtesy postings to assist in finding a new home.
Or if surf's family is interested, that would be awesome!!!!
She hasnt expressed where she wants Annie to go. It hasnt been asked. My mom suggested the HS, b/c my grandma donates to them every year. I told my mom I would see if anyone could find a home for her.
No one in the family really wants to take her. Like I said my mom has a full house of pets, I am allergic and my uncles all drive truck, so they wont be home to give her the attention she needs.
