Weekend

Re: Weekend

  • Happy wonderful freaking Monday! I'm so tired from our kitchen renovation project. We ran into a couple minor problems...from our pipes leaking under our sink, and the dishwasher being locked in, and more. At least demo was fun -breaking all that old tile, and smashing it to pieces. We haven't put the tile/grout or backsplash. We are a day behind but we hope to finish within the week. Eric is still home today, and possibly tomorrow. No kitchen for a week for me, and no cooking - the only cooking I've done is make coffee on a makeshift table that I put together in the kitchen. On the flip side, we got new appliances and they will be delivered tomorrow.

I got a convection 5 burner oven...do you know what heaven is? That's it!!! LOL

Hope all you ladies had an awesome weekend.

  • Friday night we relaxed- watched our netflix movie we've had for two weeks so we could return it and get the next one.  (X-Men Wolverines)

Saturday we went to a friend's bbq, and it ended up being a lot of fun even though we didn't know anyone there.  Then we went to the Pirates game for our Beer Passport (beer sampling before the game) where I won the grand prize and then we left because it was raining pretty heavily.

Sunday we played a church service- it was supposed to be outside but it was still sprinkling so it ended up being inside, and they had their annual church picnic afterwards.  Then our nephew turned 4 last week and his birthday party was late afternoon, for yet another bbq.  But my SIL makes the best cakes and icing, yum!  So we saved the best cake for last.

  • I had a pretty nice relaxing weekend.  We ended up just staying home or running some errands around the house.  Much needed!!!!
  • Awesome!

Friday night we hung out with the neighbors which is always a fun time.

Saturday afternoon we got the rest of the kitchen decorations hung. We got kind of a late start so we couldnt finish the living room because we were having the neighbors over. We did Rockband, old school SNES video games, and hanging out and drinking. Lots of fun!

Sunday we relaxed mostly, but we did manage to finish up the living room so that whole floor is DONE! And the boxes are gone!! I'll have pictures up later, they're on the camera but that's as much as I got done with those hahaha. We had a friend stop by Sunday afternoon so it was nice to be able to show off a pretty well unpacked and decorated house :)

  • Not bad.  We had a delicious dinner on Friday and then went home and snuggled on the couch with our kittens.

Saturday we ran errands.  I went to the bookstore and got a textbook for class as well as a review guide for a math placement test I have to take today. Tongue Tied

Sunday we cleaned, did laundry, I studied a bit and then we watched From Paris with Love.  It wasn't terrible.  lol.

  • We went out to a state park on Saturday to stay overnight and brought Daisy with us. She LOVED it and was so good. We went swimming with her, and went on a little nature hike, it was great! Night was a little rough, it was hot in the tent and she wanted to keep an eye out for critters, but we'll definitely bring her along next trip! Both of us were so exhausted, we laid around the house the rest of the day (we got home at 1).
  • It was pretty good. On Friday work was really busy and I was worn out. Brock had plans so I roamed through the mall to avoid traffic. I ended up buying a few things and getting a free gift from Sephora because my bday is this month. I stopped and ate dinner alone at Moe's while reading "The Other Woman" by Jane Green. I really love her books. This one was about a woman and her meddling MIL. It was quite real and entertaining.

I spent most of Saturday in the house relaxing. On Saturday I woke up and both of lips were swollen. It was an allergic reaction to antibiotics. I went to the doctor and they gave me steroids to control it. (I'm much better today.)

On Sunday morning I cleaned then I went to see the Atlanta Dream WNBA game with some co-workers. They lost but it was fun. Right after the game I went to a girlfriend's house for dinner. It was an Italian theme because she just came back from Italy. She gave us all gifts from Italy and showed us her pictures. It was really nice and a lot of fun.

  • I can't wait to see pics Krystal and Carrie!
  • We went to Wyoming to see friends this weekend.  It was a lot of fun.  Some friends of ours just finished their house and had people out to see it.  They built a firepit behind their house and we sat out around the fire til 2 in the morning on Saturday.  And we ate breakfast both Saturday and Sunday morning at this little diner in my hometown.  They serve the best breakfast ever.  Sometimes I miss home.
